This recipe was shared with me by my friend Kendra. They disappear quickly!

2 1/2 c. flour

2 t. baking soda

1 1/2 c. oatmeal (original, not quick cooking)

1/2 t. salt

1 1/2 c. brown sugar

1 1/2 c. melted margarine


Mix the above mixture in a large bowl. Press 2/3 of this mixture in a 10x15 jellyroll pan. Bake crust for 9 minutes at 350°. Remove from oven.


64 Brach's milk maid caramels

3/4 c. cream

2 c. milk chocolate chips


Mix caramels and cream together in saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until caramels are melted. Pour caramel mixture over crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel and then crumble remaining crust mixture on top of chips. Bake 15-18 minutes at 350°. Put foil under pan in case caramel oozes out. Let stand 2 hours before cutting, or place in fridge to make it easier. Makes 48 bars. These freeze well!
